Hatching!

Yesterday morning one of the eggs pipped and by the evening a chick had hatched.

The chick spends most of its time tucked safely under Mama Josephine.

Since our first batch, hatched by our First grade friends at Clark, were mostly roosters, we wanted to get a couple more hens.
